I was at the C.P. Adams Tournament today in Hastings. The weather wasn’t the best for playing disc, cold windy, with some rain mixed in towards the end of the day. I wasn’t exactly excited about this tournament as the last few times I played the course I didn’t to that well. The very least you could say about my performance today was that I was consistent with my previous rounds at this course.
I had a total of four out of bounds shots for the day. Yay! Not yay exactly… no. More like im crying on the inside, and cursing and flipping my disc off. But that was all on the inside… I did a good job of keeping the outward displays of negativity down which I am proud of my self for doing. ☺ One thing I have noticed is that on the course others negative attitudes or positive can have an affect on my game. With that in mind I try to not affect others games in a bad way.
Due to my less than fantastic performance today Im a little grumpy at the moment. My first round I shot a 72 and for the second I had a 75. I tied for 10th place in my division. Not a stellar showing at all but Im still glad that I went and I did have fun … Im sure the grump monster will be gone by tomorrow. It was a good learning experience. Playing in a tournament always seems to bring in to focus the areas that I need to work on… mainly putting putting putting. I will have to get on that somehow over the winter months as I think this will be my last tournament this year.
