Tomorrow is the day.
My first ever disc golf tournament. I’ve played in skins tournaments with friends but nothing official like this event.
I will be playing in the MFA Oakwood Open which will be held at the Oakwood disc golf course in Cottage Grove, MN.
I am going to enter the Intermediate division and see how I do. Im a bit nervous. The last and first time I played the Oakwood course I was playing horribly but then it was raining and I had been having an off week. Not a round I want to remember at any rate. My plan is to play in a few more tourneys this year and then join the PDGA amateur division next year.
While my game has really improved this year I still have things that need work. My release point has been a bit troublesome since I switched over to a backhand style of throwing this year. At times I can place the plastic exactly where I want it, and other times the disc has a mind of its own… an unerring laser beam tree finding mind of its own. ☺
